Directed a comprehensive commercialization plan for a consumer food product launch targeted for domestic distribution. Performed onsite cost, logistics and partner evaluation in South America; examined production, processing, packaging, exporting and marketing of product for U.S. market.
Advised and trained senior level managers of USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS); developed guidelines for strategic planning and investment criteria to effectively evaluate $114 million of proposed new facilities.
Redesigned South American country’s USAID export promotion project toinclude agriculture, food and light manufacturing micro-entrepreneurs and their trade associations to generate an additional $50MM in export sales and create 7,500 full-time equivalent jobs. Achieved cooperation and continued funding from country’s principal export association and USAID.
