Brian Barnett

Brian Barnett founded The Barnett Company, Inc., in 1993

The Barnett Company, Inc. clients include businesses and non-profit, government and multilateral organizations engaged in agriculture, agribusiness, food and in special instances, clients in other industry sectors.

Brian Barnett has launched, led or consulted to projects and businesses in 38 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Middle East, the former Soviet Union and the United States; and speaks Spanish. He has also served as: Interim President and Chief Operating Officer of two Oil and Gas Services companies in Louisiana; Vice President and Senior Investment Officer for a Venture Capital Fund in Kazakhstan;  Privatization Team Leader in Kazakstan.

Also consultant to Private Sector, World Bank, U.S. Agency for International Development, U.S. Department of Agriculture and non-profit projects whose principle goals are to increase employment, income and standard of living through small business, private sector or broader economic development. Prior to these experiences, Mr. Barnett traded corn, soybean and soybean oil for Continental Grain Company in the Midwestern U.S., and analyzed projects and investments for Dole Fresh Fruit in Honduras.
